A Post About Posting

What a week! So full, so wonderful, so little time to blog!

I have the intention to get to a place where I post every day.

I have the desire to have regular new posts to read.

Just so you know. Look for new posts coming that tell all about the adventures I've had this week!

Strong, Eye-Catching Post . . .

this is not. But I know how it feels to visit someone's blog and have NOTHING new to read.

So, it's Wednesday here. I had personal training scheduled this morning, but with a substitute trainer because Javier is taking an intensive chemistry class for the next three weeks. Unfortunately, in addition to Javier not being available, the sub called and cancelled 30 min before my session. I'm thinking it is possible that I was too understanding. I know how easy it is to say we've "been up all night" even if it isn't the case, not that he wasn't up all night. I don't actually know whether he was or not. But he also forgot about the session, according to him. So, was he up all night because that was a more acceptable thing than oh gee I forgot? Or was he up all night and so he forgot? We'll never know, but inquiring minds WANT to know. Good thing I don't have an inquiring mind.

Let's see if I can carve out 90 -- X that -- 60 -- X that -- 30 -- X that -- 15 minutes today (think Kaizen) to lift some weights. Usually I work out with weights for an hour, then do cardio for 25 minutes. And the driving takes about another 40 minutes. So I manage to set aside 2 hours twice a week to go to a trainer. Let's see what I can accomplish on my own at home today!

Will let you know1

My Playlist has Changed

In deference to one of my most faithful readers, I have adjusted my playlist so that it does not autostart when you access my blog. Anyone who would like to hear the music can scroll down and click on the "play" arrow on the playlist.

As always, striving to meet the needs of all my readers.

Welcome to any and all Readers of my Blog

I have been blogging for three months now and I find that comments just really make my day! So, feel free to make a comment about any of my posts -- as much as this blog is for me, I also enjoy the process of connecting with other people, especially people I haven't met yet! So, welcome and enjoy . . .

Gotta Get Bill's Mug Off of Here

I'm not liking visiting my blog and seeing that picture of "Bill" staring out at me. So, I'm putting another post up that will help move "Bill" on down the road.

survey says . . .

blog readability test

Movie Reviews

Previously, my blog reading level was high school. So, with one short entry, I have raised the bar another whole educational level.

Thank you for reading.

Trying to Raise the Reading Level of My Blog

My articulate, computer-savvy male offspring evocatively expanded upon the particular computer-based thought-journal I continually rejuvenate and renew.

The singular reading level analysis bestows an educational level grade for the reading level of a blog. We have wondered cogently whether said analysis looks for sentence length, or perhaps the degree of difficulty for words contained herein.

Now that I have added a clearly superior and educationally outstanding post, we shall re-analyze.

I am compelled to admit some bemusement about the reading level analysis. I enjoy using imperfect grammar and spelling in a playful manner. Perhaps grammar and spelling play parts in the analysis.

Stay tuned for the exciting results.

Another Post!

There's probably some official blog word for clustering posts. But, hey, at least I am actually posting, unlike the rest of my family who all started blogs and are hardly EVER posting (hint, hint).

I have learned much about the process of writing this year. I am thankful to have had some help teaching my kids about writing because I found out this year that there were a FEW things I didn't even know to be looking for. I think I am a better editor of their work now. I don't remember ever learning this stuff in school or college, but surely I must have learned some of it sometime. I had my freshman composition course at Bob Jones University, and I am completely oblivious to anything that I ever learned or heard in that class. Such an important course should never be relegated to the first semester at such an extreme place. I was culture-shocked and was so worried about making sure I didn't break any rules (why, oh why) that I didn't have any brain space to care about whatever that composition teacher might have been saying.

So, one good thing about homeschooling is the mom gets to learn right along with the kids. And I love that.
